Behind Dubai’s iconic skyscrapers lies a world of stories waiting to be discovered. Uncover them on our signature Old Dubai Heritage Trail, a journey through the neighbourhoods, traditions and stories that shaped the city.

Wander through Al Seef and the narrow alleyways of Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, where you’ll see traditional Emirati homes, iconic wind towers known as barjeels, and discover how local architecture was cleverly designed to suit Dubai’s climate and way of life. Visit the Coffee Museum and explore the heritage surrounding Al Fahidi Fort before making your way through the vibrant Grand Souq.

Cross Dubai Creek aboard a traditional abra, enjoy a refreshing stop at one of Dubai’s oldest juice shops, and explore the colourful Spice Souq and Gold Souq, where you’ll see the world’s largest gold ring. Complete the journey with a visit to a perfume shop, where you’ll discover the scents, ingredients and traditions behind regional perfumes and bukhoor.

More than a walking tour, this is a journey through the sights, scents, flavours and stories of Old Dubai.

Traditional Abra Ride

The experience includes crossing Dubai Creek aboard a traditional abra. Boarding and disembarking require stepping between the dock and the boat, and guests should follow the instructions of the guide and boat crew at all times.



Abra services and other outdoor elements of the itinerary may occasionally be affected by weather conditions, operational requirements or instructions from local authorities. Where necessary, the itinerary may be adjusted while maintaining the overall cultural experience as much as possible.

Accessibility & Mobility

Parts of Old Dubai include narrow alleyways, uneven surfaces, steps, busy souqs and traditional abra boarding, which may present challenges for guests with limited mobility, wheelchairs or strollers.

Timing & Arrival: SGuests are kindly requested to arrive 10–15 minutes before the scheduled experience time to allow for a smooth and relaxed start.
All our experiences begin promptly at the time stated in your booking confirmation. As you may be joining other guests, we are unable to delay the start of the experience for late arrivals. This helps us respect everyone’s time and ensures all guests can enjoy the full journey as planned.
Guests who arrive late may miss part of the experience or may not be able to join once the group has moved from the meeting point.

Walking, Weather & What to Wear

This is primarily a walking experience and includes outdoor areas, traditional neighbourhoods, souqs and an abra crossing. Guests should be comfortable walking for the duration of the tour.

We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes, lightweight clothing suitable for the weather, and bringing sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. 

As the experience explores cultural and traditional areas of Dubai, we recommend comfortable and respectful clothingappropriate for the local setting.

Please check the weather conditions before your experience and bring a light jacket during cooler months if needed.
